1941: Born in Addis Abeba (American Gibie-quarter) Father sheikh, mother from guragina-tribe.
1944: Moved to Gulage (father works in Olympiakos Club as a handy man)
1953: Shoeshine boy after school, hears Tilahun a.o. on the radio in a bar in front of the Resta Star Hospital
1962: First performance in Arizona Nightclub with band of Captain Girma Hadgue.
1962: Chauffeurs Club
1963: Imperial Bodyguard Band. First single (Alawok Shilign)
1972: First elpee with Ibex Band, on Tango-label (Kaifa - kf)
1974: Revolution. Dictatorship of Mengistu
1975: Solo cassettes with krar, guitar and mandoline and cassettes with Dahlack Band
1978: No more records, only cassettes. Censorship.
1981: USA Tour with Walias Band
1986: European release of LP Ere Mela Mela
1987: Ethiopia Thanks The World-tour
1991: Fall of Mengistu
